Autoimmune disease: Lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, dermatomyositis, polymyositis, vasculitis syndrome, The cause of autoimmune disease is due to the immune system act against autologous antigens, which cause tissue damages. - Lupus erythematosus:
Lupus erythematosus occurs most commonly among females between age 20 to 40 years old.
Common symptoms include arthritis, joint pain, facial rashes, hair lost, sensitive to light, nephropathy, fever, reduced white blood cell count, anemia, oral ulcers, weight loss, and fatigue.
- Rheumatoid arthritis:
This disease would mainly cause joint pain, swollen, inflammation, which further cause joint deformation; especially for joint around hand, wrist, with the symptom of stiffness for more than 1 hour in the morning, swelling for more than 6 weeks. This is a systemic chronic inflammatory disease, which not only invade joint areas, but also cause organ inflammation.
Purine metabolic disorder leads to Hyperuricemia and uric acid deposition in the articular, which cause joint swelling, fever, and pain, but the pain goes away very quickly after treatment.
- Muscular joint disease:
Various type of back pain, gout, Ankylosing spondylitis, Seronegative spinal arthropathy, Degenerative arthritis, osteoporosis, muscle pain syndrome, infectious arthritis, tendinitis, fasciitis.
- Ankylosing spondylitis:
This disease occurs very common among males between the ages of 20 to 40 years old. Common symptoms include chronic lower back pain, spinal stiffness and mobility limitation, if the disease progress to a more sever status, patient will often wake up in the middle of the night caused by the soreness, pain and stiffness, however, back pain and stiffness will lesson after being more active during the day, since this is a genetic disease, it’s important to look at the family history.
